Newby Open Season starts Thursday 1st April 2010 - 1 Apr 2010
During the 2010 season there will be a wide variety of events taking place to encourage creativity and inspiration, including the Annual Contemporary Sculpture Park, Theatre Productions, Monthly Exhibitions, and we also will joined by two Artists in Residency, Tessa Bunney and Ed Kluz.
Tessa is a photographer who is particularly interested in different landscapes and the way they are shaped by human activity, working closely with communities and individuals. Tessa's work explores people's relationships to the landscapes, often incorporating text and sound as part of the finished projects.
Ed's work is rooted inour heritage. He seeks our the eccentric, the lost and the overlooked - vanished buildings, follies, centuries old text, ancient imagery - and uses them as startinhg points for vibrant paintings that explore themes of renewal, reinvention and the passing of time.
